Time to Train Rejection Letter

An Employee who is employed in an organisation with 250 or more Employees and who has at least 26 weeks’ continuous service has the statutory right to make a request in relation to study or training and to have their request considered.

Where the Employer decides to agree to the Employee’s request and writes to the Employee to confirm their agreement within 28 days of the request, no further procedure is required. Otherwise, the Employer is under a statutory duty to hold a meeting with the Employee to discuss the request within 28 days of receiving the request.

This template letter can be used following that meeting, where the Employer rejects the training request.
